Airpelago has reached another major milestone - weâve now passed 200,000 km of inspected power lines using autonomous drones. đ

Today, Airpelago pilots passed 200,000 km of inspected power lines using autonomous drones. đ đ
đ Trivia; thatâs the equivalent of almost 5 full laps around planet Earth, or roughly halfway to the moon.

But what does this actually mean? Why is it important?
First and foremost, it speaks volumes about our growth journey as a company and - most significantly - the accelerated pace of which utilities are adopting autonomous drone inspections.
Compared to traditional helicopter inspections, those 200,000 kilometers have helped avoid an estimated 2,000 tonnes of COâ emissions.
It also represents 200,000 km of inspected assets without exposing personnel to unnecessary risk or physical strain by climbing towers.
Reflecting on this progress, it's clear that drone inspection has moved beyond being operationally viable at scale. It's no longer a future concept or a pilot project - it's becoming the new standard.
Autonomous inspections are now helping utilities across Europe build safer, more resilient and more cost-efficient inspection programs. As grid owners are facing aging infrastructure and increasing regulatory demands, they are looking for smarter, greener and safer ways to monitor the grid.
This is the mission of Airpelago; future-proof inspection programs powered by intelligent and sustainable technology, consistent data quality, extensive information security and operational excellence. Full scale, across your whole grid. All made possible through Airpelago Power.
A huge thank you to our customers, partners and the incredible Airpelago team who made this milestone possible.
