Regarding Chinese Drones and Information Security

We've published a DJI InfoSec white paper describing how we handle information security while using DJI Drones.

At Airpelago, we take information security very seriously.

Information security isn't a layer we added, it's at the very core of Airpelago Power, with everything built around it. Inspection data captured in the field is routed directly into infrastructure we control and host in the EU. It is not sent to drone manufacturers, and it is not shared with third parties. Flight telemetry, imagery and point clouds are isolated per client, encrypted in transit and at rest, and accessible only to the people you authorize - a discipline practiced across the whole organisation, from our regional offices to our pilots in the field.

We don't expect you to take our word for it, so we commissioned an independent audit of the network traffic generated during real inspection operations, and published the findings in full. The white paper below describes the mitigations Airpelago Power applies as a software and data-protection layer, and what the independent verification found.

We invite you to read it.
